Atty. Berberabe-Martinez started her public service as the youngest elective Provincial Board Member in the 2nd district of Batangas. She went on to serve as Assistant Department Head at the Provincial Government of Batangas as Special Counsel at the Office of Senator Loren Legarda, Senate of the Philippines, and served in different GOCCs such as the Philippine Retirement Authority, Consultant to the Chairman of the PNOC-Development and Management Corporation and was a Member of the Board of Trustees at the GSIS.

She advocated women's rights as a young lawyer at the Women's Legal Bureau, Inc and worked as a volunteer lawyer for PANLIPI for the protection of rights of indigenous people. She was awarded as Outstanding Woman of the Year by the Province of Batangas in 2000. She likewise joined the Pastrana Fallar law firm, worked as Senior Vice President and Legal Counsel at the Advance Solutions, Inc. and served as Consultant for International Contracts at the EuroMed Laboratories Philippines.

She graduated AB Philosophy from the University of the Philippines and Bachelor of Laws from the San Beda College of Law.
